HIM is here to help put the bounce back into your hospitality step, notch up your customer service and prepare your church, ministry, or community organization for critical situations such as a potential active shooter or life-threatening event.

IMPROVE YOUR SERVE is our annual HIM customer service training — and this year, we are expanding and lengthening the workshop to include how to serve those with mental illness and how to respond in the worst case scenarios, such as a potential active shooter.

Jenny is the Executive Coordinator and Director of Women’s Ministry, Small Groups and Special Events at the First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu. Jenny has worked in the nonprofit sector for the last 20 years in areas of volunteer management, program development and Christian ministry. She received a Masters in Speech at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her Bachelors in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Seminary. Her passion includes equipping and bonding teams together for mission and program development. [

The morning session will focus on customer service, hospitality, ushering and front-line teams such as greeters, parking attendants and receptionists.

The afternoon session will be devoted to Active Shooter/Critical Incident Presentation —training that is essential in our world today but that we hope you will never have to use.
