FEATURED SPEAKERS

  Kay Warren  cofounded Saddleback Church with her husband Rick Warren in Lake Forest, CA. She is a passionate Bible teacher and respected advocate for people living with mental illness, orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as for people living with HIV and AIDS.  

KAY WARREN
Kay cofounded Saddleback Church with her husband Rick Warren in Lake Forest, CA. She is a passionate Bible teacher and respected advocate for people living with mental illness, orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as for people living with HIV and AIDS. Kay is an Executive Committee Board Member for the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention.  Kay is the author of Sacred Privilege: Your Life and Ministry as a Pastor’s Wife, Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough, Say Yes to God and coauthor of Foundations, the popular systematic theology course used by churches worldwide. Her children are Amy and Josh, and Matthew who is in Heaven, and she has five grandchildren.

DAN MOREHEAD
Dr. Daniel Morehead is a psychiatrist in clinical practice in Austin, Texas, who also speaks
regularly for mental health advocacy. He is supervising psychiatrist at the Samaritan
Center for Pastoral Counseling, and has served as associate faculty at Austin
Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He is former Assistant Residency Director at the
Menninger Clinic, where he received the William C. Menninger Teaching Award. He is board certified in General Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry, and maintains interests in
brain science, psychotherapy and spirituality. In his leisure time, he is a student of kung
fu, and has managed to attain black belt level without seriously injuring himself. He and
his wife Carol are parents of three sons, and Carol serves as a priest at St. Mark’s
Episcopal Church, San Antonio.
