HIM 2020 Conference Status
**UPDATED MARCH 17, 2020**
WE CARE ABOUT YOU
And we are praying with you
Dear HIM Family,
With a heavy heart, we have canceled HIM 2020 because of COVID-19. We based our decision of March 13th on the recommendations of Hawai‘i governor, David Ige, and the Hawai‘i State Department of Health. We wanted to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our islands. We felt this was the best way to serve you and our islands. Today, the governor suspended all events at the Hawai‘i Convention Center for the next 30 days.
Although we are not gathering in person to worship and pray, we can still gather in spirit this Thursday, Friday and Saturday – the days the conference were scheduled to be held — to worship God, proclaim His goodness in the face of every trial, and intercede for our state, nation and world.
We will be sending out more details later about how we will handle registrations, but please be patient with us. With a very small staff (currently only 2 full-time staff assisted by several part-time employees), we have a lot to figure out. From speakers and vendors to the Hawaii Convention Center facility to the various challenges of canceling a major conference, we have a lot to do.
We also want to pay attention, of course, to you, our beloved attendees. Many of you have been faithful to HIM for many, many years. Some of you are brand new to HIM. Thank you, all, for standing with us in this unprecedented global situation. All of you are important, and we are blessed to serve you, The Body of Christ.
We are praying with you, standing with you, kneeling with you before our Father in Heaven.
God bless you. May God be glorified.
