Karen Covell
Karen is an independent Producer of films, Specials and Documentaries, Founding Director of the Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) and Co-Founder and Producer for JC Productions, an independent film and music production company. She is also an active member of the Producers Guild of America and currently packaging a feature film. As Founding Director of HPN, Karen challenges Christians around the world to pray for the people, the projects and the issues in the world’s most influential marketplace, Hollywood. She also speaks and teaches around the country on how to pray for the people in the world’s most influential mission field; the entertainment industry. She is a published co-author of three books, two with her husband Jim and their writing partner Victorya Rogers entitled How To Talk About Jesus Without Freaking Out (the young people’s version called “The J Bomb”) and The Day I Met God, and the devotional book Hollywood, Jesus and You. Jim Covell
Jim is a composer and graduate of the University of Southern California with a BFA in Music Composition. His career began with the live action/animated series McGee & Me, after which he then he worked extensively with Ron Howard in television. He scored 50 episodes of Tom & Jerry for HBO Max, and two seasons of the worldwide Netflix hit series Beastmaster. He also recorded the score for the feature motion picture Left Behind with the London Symphony (choir conducted by the ubiquitous Dr John Sutton). Jim’s concert works and musicals are performed around the country. He is currently working on a 90-minute oratorio, “The Lynching of the Christ” for orchestra, chorus and gospel soloist, which compares the “crucifixion” to the “lynching” of 4000 African Americans.
